What's the process of getting an app on the app stores?

If we're talking about creating an app outside of Appanda, we're looking typically at a 50 hour, $10,000 process. The job takes specialized equipment, software, and skills. In fact, while there are more and more people independently developing their own products, the majority of those people have solid 'coding' backgrounds in different coding languages.

Also, when we're talking about extending a single app across multiple devices, we're doubling the time and effort necessary to do so.

In each case, you must become a registered developer (application fee can be free to costing hundreds of dollars on a yearly basis). The registration process could take weeks to finish and can involve a great deal of administrative paperwork.

After the app is made, then it must be submitted to the various app stores and sometimes go through a rigorous quality-control process that again can take many weeks. Frequently, part of that review will involve vetting for content, including profane language, violent depictions, sexual reference, or so-called 'malware,' meaning sub-programs inserted into the app that might spy or harm the users' computers.

Appanda's creators are experts in these processes, and we understand the challenges of producing an app for your business. That's why we are creating this inexpensive, easy to use, and fast platform that allows you to get your app made, get it published, and use it as a tool in your business.
